Prior to this there was a well known pub located on this site called the Oceanside.

Now to me that really was a Mount iconic building. I am sure locals of my vintage may agree. Hell we had some good times in that old boozer!

Work continues at the site. The Captain of the Rena was sentenced today and received a 7 months prison sentence. This has not gone down well with locals who generally think its a light punishment all things considered.
