St Patrick's Cathedral Downtown Auckland
Not long after the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi in 1840 Bishop Pompallier travelled south to Auckland. In 1841 he received a grant of land from Governor Hobson for a Catholic church here in Wyndham Street. A small wooden church school was erected in 1842 and was soon replaced by a substantial stone church which became New Zealand's first Cathedral Church in 1848.
Swallows
Done these before but I can't resist the challenge of capturing them in flight and seeing their acrobatics frozen by the high speed shutter of the camera

Luna Park Sydney
Taken from across the harbor and located just below the bridge. This is a very old Sydney landmark originally opened in 1935 with several closures over the years since.

Manuteri Coming Home
Homeward bound at the end of a days charter fishing. Taken in the Tauranga harbour entrance with the Kaimai range in the distance and Matakana island on the tide line.
This boat has been working out of Tauranga for decades. I spent many hours on board on dozens of club dive trips scuba diving the local reefs. In those days she was a reasonable sea boat into the rough weather but a bit of a pig with a large following sea. Hard work for the skipper.
