The fountain was named after the sculptor Joseph Hochgurtel.
We found this after a long walk from down town Melbourne up to Carlton Gardens.
The large building behind is the Royal Exhibition Building that opened in 1880 for the Melbourne international exibition.
Right behind these building is the fantastic Melbourne museum.
