Christmas Day 2015

The O'Sullivan men from three generations.
 After lunch we all met at McLaren Falls to chill and chat, play some frizzy and throw a few balls around. Nice
Our little clan camp

Not Another Leak!

December 27th one of our water pipes in the wall decided to burst.
What a mess. Gib, water soaked and mushy, all over the place (20kg's removed)
Then to find a plumber...Plumberman to the rescue. An after-hours service like never before.
He was around within a few minutes.
Before
 After. Just another nicely painted wall destroyed! But the leak fixed.

Tauranga From Sulphur Point

Not the best view of the downtown area but my guess is that in 10 years time this will be a historical picture. As a kid there was a significant wharf between the cream building and blue shed. Fairly large cargo ships docked here.

DNA Results

I know this is of interest to the family.
This needs more work on my behalf to link this information to our family tree as we understand it. But for now here is that raw info along with a few comments.
Great Britain = 36%
Ireland = 23%
Western Europe = 21%
Scandinavia = 6%
Pacific Island (Maori) = 6%
 Note that re Scandanavian DNA that this also comes up strongly in people from Great Britain, France and Ireland. Anyone familiar with the history of this region will understand why.
re Western Europe see this map.
Remember my great grandfather was French and we suspect my grandmothers father was Italian but this is still a small puzzle we need to resolve.

Tauranga & Mt Maunganui

Wandering around on the weekend and got these images.
The main beach at the mount. Stunning (the book might be even better..)
Christmas red all around.
 Robyn in pink cap on Mount base track
 Next three shots from the pop-up park in Devonport Rd Tauranga.
The first one has a certain 'industrial' feel.
