Cross Country

I always get a window seat when going cross country in the US.

I can spend the 4 hours plus just glued to the window.

Here are few fairly average phone pics.

St Louis to Chicago

Look closely to see the silver arch in downtown St Louis in this shot

 Over the Mississippi River

 Hundreds of miles of farmland as we head north east

 Closer to Chicago continuous farmland

 Into Chicago area with Lake Michigan (the third largest of the great lakes) in the background and O'Hare airport in the middle.

I have been out on the lake and seriously its like being on an ocean.

 The downtown area is alongside the lake otherwise its a very flat landscape

 When leaving O'Hare another queue. Air travel is all about getting in line and being patient. It can be seriously aggravating at times.

Saturday Adventure

Most weekends we do an adventure. This one was walking to the top of the Mount (Mauao)

It's a big deal for little legs.

We had a ball.

ALL BLACK?

The last thing you would expect to find way inland in the USA.

A local St Louis beer called All Black. Note the silver fern! bet it breaks some copyright laws of NZ.

Apparently it uses hops from New Zealand.

Mid Pacific. Had a big week of flying. Still have over 7 hours to go to Auckland. How amazing is this to be able to blog this from my mobile phone mid flight.
Will leave it to another day to fill in more details and pics.

Tauranga Crossing

They have done a great job with this shopping centre.

Well worth a look.

It was very quiet the time we were there.

Food options are impressive as are the entertainment area for the kids.
